My Ford Escape says Oil Change Required. Is that just a mileage reminder?

  On an Escape equipped with Ford's Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor, the reminder accounts for vehicle use, operating conditions and time since the last oil service. Oil Change Required means the oil and filter are due now. Use the maintenance instructions for your Escape's year and engine, rather than another Escape owner's mileage interval.
